I hope never to meet
a world which has no brush.
But far more than this is
my regret of having found
one which does.

It is by the brush which
I lower myself into the depths
of the world of Surrealism.
And it is by expression once found
that I climb back to both worlds.

SUPER SURREALISM

BY
NOEL RIVERA

The Man, the Artist, the Super Surrealist, Noel Rivera. Born April 29, 1956, Noel inspired to be a an accomplished artist at a very young age. His most serious works began when his mind and soul were incarcerated to a blend and artistic worship of pure Surrealism. Believing that opportunity of expression is the result of consumption by all of the five senses, he felt compelled to find another pure state of expression to develop a more perfect method of Visual Arts and sensitive art form.

A quote from this masterful practitioner of lime art, "I feel that not now, nor ever, will I claim to be the greatest Surrealist, but I will say that because of my spiritual sensitivity, of which I'm truly grateful to God, I have arrived at a time in this planetary wandering to perfect an art form. I believe the answer lies in the next elevated plain of Surrealism. I call this Super Surrealism."
What is Surrealism? According to Webster's Dictionary; sur-re-al-ism (suh ree'uh Liz uhm) n. (sometimes cap) 1. a style of art and literature developed principally in the 20th century, stressing the subconscious or nonrational significance of imagery arrived at by automatism or the exploitation of chance effects, unexpected juxtapositions, etc. The reason for Noel's describing his style of surrealism as Super is based on the fact that he has taken the original surrealistic expression to the extreme. Unlike Salvador Dolie, another renowned Surrealistic painter, Noel feels there is more to using common, natural objects in expression. His work is an extreme balance of simplicity (a retreat from the use of common objects) and harmony (the harmony of soul, mind and environment blended to crystalline perfection and reflection).
There is no doubt that Noel Rivera's expression of the Super Surrealistic art foml is pure, natural and perfect. It is a modem movement of interpretation of the subconscious mind to manifest a new and stunning form of art. A style of art that inwardly personifies the imagination and beauty of a man's God given talent. It is by the brush which lowers oneself into the depths of the world of Surrealism and it is by extreme expression, once found, that ascends this artist to a higher level of super accomplishment.
