Working in various mediums, I strive to capture realistic and emotional images in my art. To evoke a sense of timeless space, a freeze frame of the world so it can be examined and enjoyed. I want the viewer to be pulled into the picture, finding minute details and emotions that they may miss in everyday life. My artistic training started early in life and continues today. It is important to perfect your craft and to stay aware of new developments and techniques, as well as reinforcing the foundation skills. I am presently in an apprenticeship program studying the Tompe-l'oeil technique. It has helped give my work a realistic effect. I am also continuing my own self studies in colored pencil, watercolor and pastel. By changing medium I find that my art stays and I stay inspired. I have also enjoyed the patronage of clients to create portraits. My wish in exhibiting my art at the Visions Magazine site is to reach a wider audience and to have the opportunity to create lasting images of the people in their lives and to compliment their surroundings with paintings they truly love.
